Official press release: The UK's Dead Swans have made quite the name for themselves since their formation in 2006. The band toured all over the UK and Europe with bands like Blacklisted, Integrity and Gallows at that time, and picked up steam. They released the Southern Blue EP in 2008 along with a split with UK-band Architects. The following year, Dead Swans got signed to Bridge Nine Records and released their landmark full-length, Sleepwalkers, in August of 2009 to immense critical acclaim. A US tour followed the release of the album, then unfortunately, the band went dormant over the last year. Now, Dead Swans are excited to announce they are back, with a new EP and tour in the works for 2012. Guitarist Pid Payne commented, "The new EP is the same Dead Swans you know, but we've stepped it up a level. We're going back to record at Cro's Nest studio as we love the recording on Southern Blue, and want to go for a similar, raw sound. 2012 will start with a Euro tour with Horror Show and after that, we'll see where the wind takes us!" Dead Swans are set to record six new songs beginning December 16th in the UK with Sam Thredder at Cro's Nest near London, and the band's line-up features Nick Worthington, Ben Marco, Pid Payne, Benny Mead, and Joe Bayes. A release date will surface soon, but be prepared for the new EP, Anxiety and Everything Else, to be available in early 2012, and the band will play new songs on their tour in January and February, 2012.
