Scott Kelly (Neurosis) announces tour
Official press release: Scott Kelly has announced his next solo acoustic tour for late this Autumn, with sixteen shows confirmed throughout the western half of America from the end of November through mid-December. The Neurosis/Shrinebuilder guitarist will be playing most of his next upcoming studio album, which will be recorded immediately following the tour. Kelly will be joined by several companions including country/folk artist Jay Munly and outlaw country rocker Bob Wayne as opening support on all dates. Stated Kelly about the purpose of this new tour: "I have two main goals with this tour: The first is to play all of my new songs, as I will hitting the studio to record my new record the day after the tour finishes. The other is to keep forging a new path for underground folk and country inspired artists such as Munly, Bob and myself; this is something that I am committed to doing." 11/29 Seattle, WA @ Tractor Tavern 11/30 Portland, OR @ Mississippi Studios 12/1 Boise, ID @ Neurolux 12/2 Salt Lake City, UT @ Garage on Beck Roadhouse & Grill 12/3 Denver, CO @ Hi Dive Club 12/5 Albuquerque, NM @ Low Spirits 12/6 Phoenix, AZ @ Rhythm Room 12/7 Tucson, AZ @ Club Congress 12/8 San Diego, CA @ Bar Pink 12/9 Anaheim, CA @ Juke Joint 12/10 Los Angeles, CA @ Echo 12/11 Los Angeles, CA @ Alex's Bar 12/13 Fresno, CA @ Fulton 55 12/14 Oakland, CA @ The New Parish 12/15 San Francisco, CA @ Brick and Mortar 12/16 Santa Cruz, CA @ Crepe Place
