My Bitter End 'back in action'

Middletown, NY deathcore/metalcore outfit My Bitter End will apparently be playing shows and working on new material this year. The group dissolved in 2008 (amidst several failed attempts to reform), and members went on to play in Dr. Acula and Through The Eyes Of The Dead, among others. Here's what the band has publicly offered up thus far: "Well in case you haven't figured it out yet, we are back in action. We'll issue a press release in a few weeks with details on shows, new members, and new tunes. It's great to be back. Please keep spreading the word... [hours later] We really didn't expect all this great feedback. We are just happy to be jamming again, but this gives us even more inspiration to get things going. Thank you guys for sticking with us through the thick and thin. See you all very soon." Update: The band has now sent Lambgoat the following statement: "My Bitter End has returned after an almost 4 yr long hiatus. After some stints with several different bands, the Ranne brothers (Mike and Todd) have decided to once again renovate the line-up and return with new material, new members, and plans to continue on where things were left off years ago. They would like to welcome Robert Walker on bass guitar, Chris 'hank' Henckel on lead guitar, and Jesse Doran Castro as new vocalist. More info regarding comeback shows, tour dates, new music, merch, etc can be found at the official My Bitter End Facebook page. The band looks forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones with their continuation. More news TBA in the upcoming weeks."
