Official press release:
Baltimore's A389 Recordings have announced that they will be releasing a collection of recordings by the Cult Of The Seven Crowns. Available in July of 2011, these releases will consist of hard to find (and some never before heard) recordings by the likes of Gravehill, Witch-Lord, and the Penetration Panthers, all of which are linked in various degrees to the legendary west coast hardcore band Gehenna (whom will also be releasing new music as part of this collection).
Death/Thrash metal mainstays Gravehill will be releasing a remastered 12" of their first demo tape. 'Practitioners Of Fell Sorcery' are the only Gravehill recordings to feature Mike Apokalypse (of Gehenna) as the band's vocalist.
Witch-Lord is a nightmarish doom outfit (featuring DC Grave of Gehenna on guitar and vocals) that will be releasing their debut 12" 'Atomized In The Black Solarian' The band is described by Apokalypse as: "What Black Sabbath would have sounded like if they had taken real drugs."
Penetration Panthers debut 7" 'Perpetual 80's is three tracks of awesome raw late 70s/early 80s style punk that sounds like a perfect mix of The Stooges and early Black Flag.
And last but definitely not least, Gehenna will be re-issuing their obscure very hard to find 'Land Of Sodom' sessions which have been highly sought after for years due to an extremely limited original pressing. It should also be mentioned that a very limited flexi 7" containing a never before heard Gehenna recording from the vaults will be made available alongside these releases, but only to diehards who pick up all four new releases.
