Caliban to record album of coversMonday, February 7, 2011 11:29 PM PT / 6,039 views
Taking songs without breakdowns and putting in breakdowns. Brilliant!
Was this band really all that popular to begin with?
Didn't they already record every As I Lay Dying off Frail Words Collapse and Shadows Are Security?!?!
Kewl maybe they'll be the 800th band to do paint it black.
Man, it'll be sweet to see all the songs ruined by shitty clean vocals and breakdowns.
1. this band IS a cover band. 2. cover albums never work. impending van is flipped
Last game of the season, can't hold anything back..
Stealing riffs from a.o. Sepultura and KsE wasn't enough??
Three trends need to die in music, (1) instrumental tracks, (2) useless intro tracks, and (3) cover songs. All 3 of these things wind up being skippable filler like 99% of the time.
"If you're wondering when this jewel will be available to you"........l0l
Caliban playing Rammstein!?! *swoons into oblivion*
Caliban playing Rammstein!?! *swoons into oblivion* --- fcking lol
The well is dry, that's if there was anything in there to begin with.
Oh god, I love Caliban but this is a horrible idea. Only band to ever pull off a successful cover album is Evergreen Terrace, pretty sure no on will ever do a good one again.
you are the only one who thought that Evergreen Terrace's cover album was 'successful'. It might have been salvagable, if all of the songs had been performed by someone other than Evergreen Terrace.
I don't see how such an innovative band (early 2000) became this.......
If you can listen to Opposite From Within and not hear As I Lay Dying riffs to a tee, you are an idiot.
shit band. shit idea. waste of money and time for all

Sonne is a decent song but Caliban hasn't been a good band since Shadow Hearts. Not interested.
Does the singer still wear eyeliner? Doesn't matter and neither will this record.
Just go back to making great records like VENT!!!!
Please, for the love of god, everyone, stop acting like As I Lay Dying invented this sound. For one thing, Caliban was doing it first. As mentioned earlier, "VENT" was a perfect record at the time (in the year 2000).
