At A Loss Recs to release Bruce Lamont solo effort
Official press release: At A Loss Recordings confirms this week that the label will be releasing the upcoming solo full-length from forward-thinking metal purveyor Bruce Lamont. The record is planned for a mid-fall release, with more details on the actual album to be unveiled in the coming weeks. Most widely recognized for his saxophone and vocal work fronting Chicago mindwarp metallers Yakuza, Bruce Lamont has also contributed to a plethora of other projects including Bloodiest (featuring members of 90 Day Men, Sterling), Circle of Animals (with Sanford Parker, Minsk/The High Confessions), Decayist (with Blake Judd, Nachtmystium/Twilight), Sick Gazelle (with Eric Block and Sanford Parker) among others. In July of 2006 Lamont made his debut solo performance, utilizing saxophones, guitar, voice, harp, percussion and looping effects. He's since performed alongside countless musicians, some of which include Scott Kelly (Neurosis, Shrinebuilder), Battles, John Cale (Velvet Underground) Toby Driver (Kayo Dot), OM, Daniel Higgs (Lungfish) and Lichens, among others. At A Loss is proud to add Bruce Lamont to their eclectic, ultra-heavy label roster which already includes Black Cobra, Dark Castle, The Body, Deadbird, Minsk, Rwake, Raise The Red Lantern, Baroness, Stinking Lizaveta, Darsombra, Del Rey and more. www.myspace.com/brucelamont
