Liferuiner (Canada) records new material

Official press release: Canadian group Liferuiner spent the past weekend recording a brand new, as-yet unreleased, track. An associated "studio blog" video can be found on Youtube here. Despite the controversy over the past couple of years after being pushed out of the band by their former manager, Greg Moore, and being replaced by an American line-up, Liferuiner has since reformed and started playing shows again as the group they started. A new Myspace page has now been officially launched. No word on returning to the road yet however. Update: The aforementioned Greg Moore has sent us the following: "I want to set the record straight because my name is on this thing. Jonny OC left liferuiner in San Jose, California after getting jumped two times over the course of a week (NJ, Chicago). Jonny was so certain that he was going to get jumped during the San Jose show, that he ended up quitting LR in tears that night. He ended up hanging out in Fresno for a few weeks before returning to Canada. "After orchestrating his 'Comeback tour,' with new members that HE put together from Fresno, California (after kicking out the remaining Canadians), Jonny ended up not showing up the day the tour kicked off, leaving the American members HE picked for the band stranded. "That is the reason a US version of Liferuiner (that I have nothing to do with) is touring."
