Straight-edge metalcore band, Liar, has signed with Germany's Lifeforce Records, home to such bands as Heaven Shall Burn and Between The Buried And Me. The news comes directly on the heals of Liar's decision to leave Alveran Records:
"Some things didn't work out anymore between the band and the [Alveran] label. There was a disagreement on some levels, which isn't the best condition to work with each other. We as a band have always felt the need to have a good communication with our label and something that has to be present to be more than just us delivering some songs and the label putting it out promoting and selling it... anyway, Alveran has done a good job for us and so did all previous labels we worked with in the past, it would be stupid to say that everything ended up in negative things, there's always good and bad things about working with a label and the other way around."
As such, the Belgian band will apparently no longer be appearing on their planned split with Unearth. It appears instead that they will be taking the four new tracks they have recorded and will release a split with another unnamed U.S. band sometime during the next few months. Additionally, there are plans for a full-length, which will most likely be recorded late this Fall. Look for Liar on tour all over Europe this August.
