Detroit, Michigan hardcore/metal band Legend (Rise Records) recently parted ways with guitar player Keith Lamentola, who is now playing with Smash Your Enemies. Legend hasn't issued anything on the matter, so we tracked down Lamentola for comment. He had the following to say: "Honestly, this all came as a big surprise to me. I dedicated a lot of myself and time to Legend and for whatever reason they felt it would be in the band's best interest to continue without me. There was no fight or drama that lead up to this, it was just a move they felt was best to make for the band in the long run. I can't say that I agree, but what's done is done and it's time to move forward. I enjoyed being in Legend and watching it grow from what it was before Chris and I even decided to turn it into a serious project, to what it's become. Thanks to anyone who gave me a spot to sleep or supported me in any way while I was in Legend. It was fun while it lasted. Check out the band I am currently playing guitar in, Smash Your Enemies (myspace.com/smashyourfuckingenemies). We have some awesome things in the works."
