Arsis recording new album

Official press release: James Malone, guitarist/vocalist for Virginia’s melodic/technical death metal band Arsis shares this update from Planet Z Studios in Massachusetts on their fourth studio album, "Starve For The Devil": "Everything I have been working towards over the past year has become a reality; we are making the Arsis album that I have always wanted to make. We starting tracking drums yesterday and everything sounds amazing. Mike Van Dyne's playing just fits the songs so well, and it is great to be recording with one of my best friends again. I can honestly say that I have not been this happy in a long time. If the past few days are any indication of how the rest of the recording is going to go, then I feel certain that this will be our best work yet." Music for "Starve For The Devil" is being recorded with producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Municipal Waste). Artist Mark Riddick will be providing his trademarked meticulous and grotesque artwork for the upcoming release. Performing on the album will be: James Malone – guitars/vocals; Mike Van Dyne – drums; Nick Cordle – guitars; Nathaniel Carter - bass.

agent_friday 9/9/2009 4:38:11 PM

I think they've released more albums than shows played.

Sometimes, I want to look in the toilet before I flush.. I just imagine this album will be wading in there when I get finally get the courage to do so.

RaidLindisfarne 9/9/2009 4:51:24 PM

Fah cue, this album will be excellent.

withoutashield 9/9/2009 4:55:29 PM

I was totally joking. My poop is way cooler than this will be.

Kids_will_be_skeletons 9/9/2009 4:56:24 PM

brassknuckleromance 9/9/2009 5:00:04 PM

shitty news only posters talk shit on band: the comment thread #87458634896308603958 I think this will be on par w/ a diamond for disease, but not better.

degoyaco 9/9/2009 7:35:34 PM

nothing will ever beat diamond for disease or celebration of guilt. anyone who disagrees can suck my dck

petite_feet 9/9/2009 8:11:39 PM

a celebration of guilt was good, earns this at least a listen

Fleshlight 9/9/2009 9:17:24 PM

Farsis.... Big surprise that the next record will be "their best work yet". Sloppy live, glad they lost the c-cky bassist but this news is still not making the compass point north.

cultureofwaste 9/9/2009 9:43:46 PM

'celebration of guilt' was an awesome record, hopefully this lineup tops it.

xSHAT_CREWx 9/9/2009 10:22:47 PM

ServantOfTheNight 9/9/2009 11:04:27 PM

fck the haters, this will kick ass!

complete_slore 9/10/2009 1:15:37 PM

"Starve For The Devil"? Isn't James Malone recovering from anorexia? That's just a weird album title choice.

JohnnyJohnny 9/11/2009 1:20:27 AM

I'm certainly interested. Hopefully the one trick pony producer Zeuss makes them sound good.

starsbeneathourfeet 9/11/2009 3:16:35 AM

this band would be good if it wasn't for the pssy "my girfriend dumped me" lyrics.

PunishTheLiving 9/11/2009 1:39:49 PM

ARSIS SUCKS dck! no one buy this gay album so they have to break up due to low album sales,

deadbabyjokes 9/12/2009 1:48:14 AM

people who can't wrap their head around arsis riffs must be 12

emmure_is_death_metal 9/14/2009 9:27:41 AM

what did arsis do wrong? why's everyone hating? i think these guys are PRETTY COOL. stoked on this album as long as drums aren't programmed like last album
