Dillinger Escape Plan no longer on Relapse

Conversing with some fans yesterday via a message board, Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman confirmed that the group is in fact no longer under contract with long-time label Relapse Records. According to Weinman, "We are off Relapse and will be doing things all kinds of ways now that we have 100% control of the business side of things. Trent [Reznor] has definitely been an inspiration on that front." Meanwhile, the group is gearing up to record their next full-length with Steve Evetts next month, though Weinman didn't seem completely positive that Evetts would be recording the effort. He commented, "Steve is scheduled to do the record, unless he can't for some reason. Then I will probably just do it myself." Finally, Weinman noted that Faith No More recently asked the group to play with them in Europe, stating, "Faith No More asked us to play their headline shows in Europe but we can't do it. I want to shoot myself in the tip of my dick. Maybe we can get on some later this summer or in the fall if they do anymore."
