Himsa entering studio later this month

Seattle's Himsa will be entering the studio at the end of March to being demoing songs for their upcoming full-length, "The Blind Stategy of Transition." In case you weren't aware, the band released an EP late last year on Revelation Records entitled "Death Is Infinite." Since the EP's release, the group has been playing shows here and there in support of the effort. They just wrapped up a West Coast tour and plan on playing a few more West Coast dates in mid-April. Following a few Summer shows, the band will be also hitting Europe for a tour this Fall. The European tour will run from September 5th through October 11th, although dates are still being worked out by Avocado Booking. In other band news, Himsa has parted ways with sample-man, Clay Layton. Layton has decided to dedicate more time to his new daughter and has also started his own production group. In any case, the band will continue on as a five-piece and bassist Derek Harn has taken over the sample duties until further notice.
