Darkest Hour update

Taking a break from working on their next studio album, Darkest Hour will hit the road for a few select dates in December. Joining the band on the outing will be The Red Chord, Through the Eyes of the Dead, Skeletonwitch, and Rose Funeral. Here are the dates: 12/18 Wilmington, NC @ The Soapbox (no TRC) 12/19 Philadelphia, PA @ The Church 12/20 Pompton Lakes, NJ @ Mainstage 12/21 Washington, D.C. 2 9:30 Club Regarding their new record guitarist Mike Schleibaum comments: "We have been traveling between Richmond, VA and Baltimore, MD the past month or so working on the material and couldn't be more stoked. Every Darkest Hour record is an experience to make (to say the least) and this record is no exception. It's been a lot of long hours and long days but the record is beginning to take shape and that is always an amazing thing to see happen. Who knows, [at the] shows in December, we might just play a new song or two!" The new effort will be tracked by Brian McTernan (The Bled, Darkest Hour) and will hit stores in early-2009 via Victory Records.

Not happy about TRC skipping that NC date. Kinda nervous about the new record too.

first of all fck victory. second of all fck tteotd, skeletonwitch, and rose funeral. the red chord is obvously good but goddamn what a bad tour.

TaraAlesia 11/8/2008 3:42:47 AM

Curious on how this will sound with out Kris Norris

eos_emissio 11/8/2008 11:59:47 AM

Skeletonwitch actually isn't terrible. TTEOTD and Rose Funeral are the 2 who hopefully get into some sort of horrid rear-end deathxcollision

lol, what kris norris is writing now is ridiculous. The last dh album wasnt bad, but by no means amazing. Kris leaving dh was the worst thibng to happen to them. Hopefully they get away from the political bullshit.

"xgabex 11/8/2008 4:16:47 AM this is gonna be Darkest Hour's last album with Victory" Unless they renew their contract with them, which I hope to fcking god they don't.

forumdrama "Unless they renew their contract with them, which I hope to fcking god they don't." they're not going to. Victory doesn't do shit for them. they have other labels that want them too.

face 11/10/2008 11:29:37 AM

12/20 will be there

newsonlygoater 11/10/2008 11:32:45 AM

Drowlich 11/10/2008 7:26:08 PM

Good Luck to them on the new album. From what I hear the new dude is pretty good.Kris..Mad at you for calling me at the last minute to do vocals..Terd.

xbrutalDUDeXER98 11/11/2008 12:54:35 AM

victory records SUCKA DE dck

fistedsister 11/11/2008 1:17:13 AM

I wish this band didn't turn into shit. If they played "An Epitaph" or "Last Dance Massacre" live, I'd maybe waste my time seeing them again.

floorpunch 11/12/2008 9:46:52 AM

they actually played some decently older songs when I saw them last, on the deliver us tour
