Official press release:

The startlingly diverse and mammoth sound of the British quintet Architects was perfectly captured on the critically acclaimed Ruin, an album that Kerrang! called "bloody gargantuan." Unfortunately, the sophomore effort saw a limited release in the UK and Canada. However, thanks to a new worldwide deal with Century Media Records, songs like "Buried at Sea" and "Heartless" are not lost to the rest of the globe's ears, as the album will now see a North American release on August 5th. Head over to www.myspace.com/Architectsuk now to check out some tracks and the striking "Buried At Sea" video.

Drummer Dan Searle had the following to say about their new home: "Everyone at Century Media seems to be 100% behind what we're doing. They match our ambition to push this band as far as we can. This is a whole new era for us, and we're really excited about seeing where it's going to take us next."

The band and the label wanted to include content that would be exclusive to the reintroduction of Ruin, so along with the album's eleven original tracks will be a bonus cut, "Broken Clocks," several music videos and a tour documentary. Coinciding with the re-release will be a massive North American tour slated for September and October (details coming soon), alongside a slew of European dates with the likes of Unearth, Parkway Drive, Despised Icon and Misery Signals.

Before making their way stateside, Architects will hit the studio this month to record their third full-length and official Century Media debut, which is tentatively set for a January 2009 release. While the band has already made a name for itself through successfully blending more progressive elements with technical metal and melodic hardcore, they aim to distill these parts into a more cohesive whole with the new album.
