Derek Roddy leaves Today Is The Day

Drummer Derek Roddy is apparently no longer playing with Today Is The Day, whom he joined in late-2006. According to Roddy, "I am no longer jamming with Steve Austin. I have fulfilled my obligation to the band." Meanwhile, former Today Is The Day drummer Mike Rosswog (ex-Circle Of Dead Children) is currently handling drums for the group. Update: Steve Austin has now issued the following statement: "Today Is The Day tour started tonight in Nashville. Derek stepped away from underground touring back in October. Mike Rosswog (who played drums on Today is The Day's Kiss The Pig album, and in Circle Of Dead Children) is playing drums with us on our tour and has been rehearsing with us for months now. See ya' at the show! Wishin' Derek the best as he is one of the best there is!"
