Got that audio interface and got it hooked up and working. Downloaded reaper. You said there was lots of free plug ins or something like that? Where can a brother find those? This is exciting. I haven't recorded music in like over 10 years

You can do a google search for "free guitar vst plugins"

I don't know a ton about what's out there, but LePou has a bunch of sweet amp and cab sims that are free. The "legion" amp is brutal. Make sure you download some cab impulse responses so the cab plugin works.

There is a good ts808 plugin that's free, I forget the name but it's easy to find. The rest of the plugins you need are already in reaper.

Fortin amps let's you try any amp for a month too. The nameless plugin is the best.

Set the latencies on each plugin according to your RAM. if you put everything on the lowest settings it's easy to eat up all your memory. There's a sweet spot that doesn't eat too much memory and still sounds ok

I'd also watch a yt video on how to load vst's in reaper. If you aren't familiar with it, it can be a little complicated

Sweet thanks. I have to screw around in reaper. Just got it up and running earlier to make sure everything was working fine

No problem. Have fun!

I use Ardour. I like it a bit better than Reaper.
