on the opposing team gets injured? I think it's always worth a cheer when the situation gets better for your hometown sports team. Especially if you're living vicariously through the team. It's not like it's been that long since we were whoopin it up at lions chowing down on peasants

it's not great. i hate KD too
easyhateoven 6/12/2019 10:13:02 AM
who lives vicariously through a sports team? that's weird, man. it's just a game
mummified_circuitry 6/12/2019 10:15:47 AM
Some people have nothing to live for but watching their favorite pro team. Not saying that's me but you know if your life on par with shoe salesman it kind of makes sense

If I'm watching a sport I would prefer to see the best players playing even if it means the team I like loses. Why watch a sport and hope to see second rate players? Unless you're stupid.
mummified_circuitry 6/12/2019 10:36:48 AM
Okay forget the pros for a second. What if you do this while being a pop warner football dad?
simon_belmonT 6/12/2019 10:38:19 AM
That's fine. The kids probably not going pro anyway. f*ck him

You mean the way you live your life through the seriousloser gimmick?
zordy 6/12/2019 4:02:58 PM
yes it happens in MMA all the time
people get their skulls caved in and everybody cheers

Here's my two cents. If it's a scale tipping player like KD and/or Steph Curry, I don't really care unless it helping the team I'm rooting for. That would be like Tom Brady getting hurt and people feeling bad for him. Dude has an amazing life, will continue to have an amazing life regardless of his involvement that season, and has a career that most players would kill for. I think most people think of something like an ACL tear as if it happened to them. They'd be screwed missing time at work and wouldn't be able to do shit. KD on the other hand will have no trouble getting a new contract next season and doesn't need to olleave the house because he has thirsty hoes doing shit for him.

But if it was some dude having a breakout season on a team that's turning it around and he's been an integral part to that, regardless of whether he's playing my favorite team.

*I'd feel bad for him

They're not even remotely the same thing. Basketball isn't cage fighting
zordy 6/12/2019 4:57:29 PM
nobody said basketball but you, learn to read
simon_belmonT 6/12/2019 5:33:33 PM
Nobody feels bad if Tom brady gets hurt, but I'd rather watch him on TV than his half retarded backup
