King wrote the teleplay for this and it only solidifies how terrible he is at writing dialogue. One of the most overrated authors ever.

I've reflected on my love of King recently. Given all of the terrible adaptations on the big screen makes one wonder....was he ever really any good at all?

his books are fine

He could set a scene. But, he can't write an ending. And, you could easily cut at least 100 pages of unnecessary scene setting and exposition from any of his books and still have the same stories. I grew up reading everything he put out. I still love his stuff. But, objectively...
