Last night my internet goes out while I'm working on my laptop.. I wait a while hoping it'll pop back on.. it didn't.. the modem has a blinking orange light…
Then I'm like fuuuuuuck the game is on, I go downstairs and mrs slorb is watching Netflix.. I'm like wtf..
So here's the situation..
I can't get onto the WiFi , my computer can't connect to the internet via WiFi or hardwired. The network is there, but says there is no internet connection.
But my cable tv is working.. and I can stream Netflix, prime, etc on my tv..
How the fuuuuck is this possible? Xfinity is dumbfounded right now

Blinking orange is typically an update to the modem—separate from your cable. The Xfinity apps via your cable box don't reach the internet via the modem. It is normal for them to work independently, but obviously, the modem update was f'ed. If it's still down, remove power and the cable line into the modem for about a minute- connect the cable line, then power, and wait to see if it's good to go.

It's possible that the wireless card in your laptop has gone out for whatever reason but that's pretty unlikely.
You may wanna back everything up and do a factory reset, if that doesn't work you might be effed

If your tv is working its not your modem or router, take your laptop somewhere
