I think most of my friends and me came at it more from metal. Pantera and then things like Helmet and stuff. No one really listened to punk in jr high. Not that I know of. Maybe someone did.

Maybe it is location. Albany had some real tough bands too. Like Stigmata and Dying Breed. Tough guy shit. I don't recall there be any punk bands. I'm sure there were, but that wasn't really the thing I guess.

I once saw the dwarves at the troubadour in like 2002 and some guys I went with were like, yeah! That's a real mosh pit! Wheeeeew doggy. It was the dopiest idiots all just running in a circle, smelling like shit and looking like shit.
