Illmatic is timeless but I think his sophomore effort, It Was Written is better. Nas experimented with different flows and his story telling just got so much better. There is an old photo of Nas rocking a Biohazard shirt when he was hanging out with Tupac. Hip Hop peaked in the 90s.
