Chicago metalcore act Speaking With Ghosts stream their new album.

Speaking With Ghosts

On Friday, November 17 Illinois melodic hardcore/metal band Speaking With Ghosts will release their debut full-length, titled Illuminated, through Famined Records. You can stream the entire effort below.

Formed in late 2013, the five-piece cites The Ghost Inside, August Burns Red, and Parkway Drive among their influences. The band had this to say about the new album:

"'Illuminated' touches on a variety of topics such as perseverance, self-growth, and hope. It follows our growth as a band and challenges we've all gone through in the past year. We've all had our ups and downs and they've made us question our place in the world. Is this is what we want to do, and what is the meaning of our journey? At the end of the day, music is the best place we feel at home and like we can make a difference."

If you like what hear, be sure to order the album and follow Speaking With Ghosts on Facebook.

I'd rather listen to Kenny G.

Y'all motherf*ckers don't know what's up. These dudes are the Apex of modern metalcore. Speaking With Ghosts is one of the hardest working bands out there and they deserve every bit of attention and accolade they receive. And LIVE??? Live these guys give a passionate performance matched by very few in the music scene. Craig, Ryan, Tyler, Jake, and Pat are some of the most genuine dudes in the scene and I can't WAIT for them to blow up. Bless Speaking With Ghosts ?

I can't listen to a band with a dumb name like that... sorry. Just change your name to ghosts. It's plural to the other band with similar name so it should be ok. Or maybe just change your name to Sophie Goldberg because she speaks with ghosts. Have a good day.

Band members girlfriend posting above... doesn't realize that band missed metal core boat by about 15 years and the post makes them look bad...
