Beyond psyched. Chorus is nice, but from 2:50 on is basically what i've been waiting for from them for a long time. This rules.

anonymous 6/21/2012 7:49:43 AM

I like the new direction, not the green album. But damn good.

anonymous 6/21/2012 7:53:06 AM

Stained, POD, Puddle of Mud, and Korn have new competition.

anonymous 6/21/2012 8:08:13 AM

awesome new song sounds like st, and imprint with awesome clear production, which makes a change

anonymous 6/21/2012 8:14:09 AM

Awesome

anonymous 6/21/2012 8:21:43 AM

Excellent. I love VOD!

brassknuckleromance 6/21/2012 8:25:59 AM

this is good. its like imprint but w/ clearer production like that one anon said. cant wait to hear the rest of it, hopefully the rest of the record is as aggressive or more so than this song.

anonymous 6/21/2012 8:56:32 AM

Love it. Turn the guitars up more though.

anonymous 6/21/2012 9:01:39 AM

incredible.

dipswitch 6/21/2012 9:08:36 AM

something about the snare sound on the recording bugs me...but the song itself is great.

anonymous 6/21/2012 9:08:36 AM

SOOOO good!!!! On par with the green album and Imprint... Well done.

burn_everything 6/21/2012 9:23:55 AM

Looking forward to playing someshows upstate shows with you guys!

anonymous 6/21/2012 9:38:20 AM

Sounds good but I still prefer Bloodsimple.

anonymous 6/21/2012 9:40:41 AM

"Ill choose my own! My will not be a victim! I'll choose my own!" Well nice chorus, I guess. Been waiting for a new Bloodsimple record.

karloespiritu 6/21/2012 9:50:49 AM

Feels like a departure from the vibe of 'From Bliss to Devastation' and more of 'Imprint'. I prefer more 'From Bliss..."

anonymous 6/21/2012 10:02:34 AM

I love it. Its about time we got another album. Hell I was listening to "From Bliss to Devistation" the other day.

anonymous 6/21/2012 10:22:00 AM

love the song, production is weak. drums are small and guitars need more beef. glad they are making music again though! green album was on repeat for like two year in my car....

anonymous 6/21/2012 10:36:48 AM

absolutly amazing!!! never thought V.O.D. was comming back! cant wait for the release!!!

anonymous 6/21/2012 10:52:08 AM

As long as Tim doesn't wear leather pants anymore...

anonymous 6/21/2012 11:20:47 AM

Can't believe someone mentioned Korn, POD and Puddle of Mudd in relation to VOD! f*cking hell, ignorance at its finest.

anonymous 6/21/2012 11:35:00 AM

nice ending

HBDad 6/21/2012 11:51:41 AM

Sounds like a demo almost. The guitars are very flat and too much in the background. The drums aren't heavy enough. Also after hearing dude's vocal work in Bloodsimple I was hoping for more of that in the vocals department. The song is great overall but hampered by uninspired production/mixing.

anonymous 6/21/2012 2:16:48 PM

I'm sorry but you guys talking about the mix are nuts. It's waaaayy soon to make those statements. Who knows how much the track is compressed here? You might have crap PC speakers? Geeze. Wait for the CD. (yes. i said CD because you downloading crap scene releases isn't a fair comparison either)

anonymous 6/21/2012 2:39:07 PM

anyone who compares these guys p.o.d.,staind,or korn most likely has a justin bieber in their bedroom.stupid f*ck.

anonymous 6/21/2012 2:54:40 PM

i'm as psyched to receive some new tasty tunes from VOD as flash gordon was when he stabbed ming the merciless through his black heart w/ the tip of his rocket ship in the popular 1980 flick, 'flash gordon'!

anonymous 6/21/2012 3:49:17 PM

what the f*ck? dont ever compare VOD to korn, staind, pod or heres a few others: picklesnack, three days grace, hinder, the list goes on. Now to the song itself. Bad f*cking ass. can not wait til september. i will be buying this and hopefully the tour rolls through NC

anonymous 6/21/2012 6:34:39 PM

Beast end indeed.

anonymous 6/21/2012 7:09:10 PM

dig it.but agree, the snare is lame as f*ck. the song is solid though.

slut 6/21/2012 7:09:51 PM

I hope the rest of the record is better than that.

anonymous 6/22/2012 12:50:34 AM

Damn it! We lost Bloodsimple for this! It's cool and all but it's no Red Harvest.

anonymous 6/22/2012 2:42:25 AM

Tim Williams can sing on anything and it turns to gold.

anonymous 6/22/2012 6:19:01 AM

THIS better be the filler song or throw away song...

anonymous 6/22/2012 9:40:31 AM

Ive waited 10 years to hear some new VOD, f*ck me thats awsome, loved bloodsimple but this kiks the shit out of that, great it sounds like the Imprint days!!!

anonymous 6/22/2012 1:27:14 PM

I don't feel like punching someone in the face when I'm listening to this. In my opinion I think the songs should be played at a deeper / lower octave, the song sounds a little too happy for me. The lyrics are sung extremely smooth too which I don't like. The new songs are not as punchy as your classic songs. I guess what i mean to say overall is that this song leans a little more to the commercial side :( and away from the bastufft go f*ck yourself mosh pit sound. Tim's hoodies and bats.

kenwregget 6/22/2012 6:55:00 PM

Song is amazing. God damn I love this band and always will. Seeing them on the 10 for 10 tour in Clifton Park and show ending in massive brawl spilling out into the parking lot = classic.

RobLIHC 6/22/2012 10:06:57 PM

I've loved V.O.D. since I 1'st saw them in 95 when I was 12 years old, that being said; I have never heard a song that they wrote that I didn't fall in love with and "Loveless" is no exception. Can't wait to see them live in NYC soon, keep up the incredible, one of a kind, heart touching tunes guys. I'll never stop buying the albums or the tickets to the shows; shit, I still got my "Still" 7"

anonymous 6/23/2012 4:54:23 AM

Somebody hook up with their roots again, good shit Tim!

anonymous 6/23/2012 4:55:43 AM

sooo, that was awesome, i will be ssein you guys on July6th at webster hall..hopin to hear maybe 7-14,, or Formula for Failure ...just sayin ..stoked havent seen you guys since the mid 90's

Deadwithfear 6/23/2012 6:28:11 AM

Sunglasses guy looks like Robert vigna from immolation.

anonymous 6/23/2012 7:38:42 AM

not bad. needs more breakdowns.

anonymous 6/23/2012 8:17:29 AM

FINALLY! Been a long time coming, this is PERFECT. Will most certainly buy this album!!!

anonymous 6/23/2012 8:38:02 AM

awesome thank you VOD for keeping LIHC alive.

anonymous 6/23/2012 8:41:31 AM

Killer. VOD in your face, f*ck you.

therraunch 6/23/2012 9:38:44 AM

Tremendous.

anonymous 6/23/2012 10:01:45 AM

f*ck is this shit?

anonymous 6/23/2012 10:25:27 AM

well this should tell you something about the people who frequent lg

anonymous 6/23/2012 10:31:34 AM

this is f*cking rock solid. all you whiny gays need to shut the f*ck up and man the f*ck up.

ineedsalt 6/23/2012 12:26:10 PM

not bad, but it took a while to get good

anonymous 6/23/2012 1:14:33 PM

Song is amazing!!!! All the haters can suck a fat one.... and choke on it while you are at it. VOD you are champions as always. Please come to Chicago.

anonymous 6/23/2012 1:59:14 PM

Sounds like V.O.D to me dont know wtf all these other peoples problems are. WTF did you want?

anonymous 6/24/2012 1:18:05 AM

Shit sounds tight, atleast VOD didn't forget who they were/are. Gladly to hear no gayy singing, no wannabe 16yr old psuedo guttural, no weak fake struggling grinds, good, glad to see a NYHC bands still alive an capable of not sucking dck right out of the gate. let the producer know to quit using shitty click track drum triggers, and maybe go out and buy a piccolo snare.

anonymous 6/24/2012 11:11:18 AM

Staind? Korn? POD? Whoever typed that has ears full of AIDS-infested stuff. This is good shit.

anonymous 6/24/2012 11:57:04 AM

Not sure why everyone is comparing a new album with old albums, or this to Bloodsimple. This wasn't the green album part 2, or Imprint part 2, it's suppose to be new material. The same with comparing this to Bloodsimple, this is VOD, not f*cking Bloodsimple. They're both amazing bands, but with their own direction and sound. And I think the sound as far as quality is your computer speakers because I just heard a new track on satellite radio channel Liquid Metal, sounded f*cking amazing!

anonymous 6/24/2012 9:47:24 PM

35 year old men with affliction shirts are stoked

anonymous 6/25/2012 7:51:25 AM

16-20 yr old scene homos are misplaced and have no idea as to what's going on. Where's the paintsplash logo, the 9 color artwork tshirts with full shirt print, and no youth sized anything?!?! This makes no sense...

anonymous 6/25/2012 11:37:37 AM

from west babylon ny. been a fan since day one. saw you guys for the first time at the downtown in 96. f*ckin awesome song. glad to hear new progression and evolution within all the elements that define vods sound. well done guys.cant wait to hear the record

anonymous 6/25/2012 4:43:10 PM

I'm sorry that the days of the real VOD died with For the Bleeders... RIP VOD

anonymous 6/26/2012 6:21:08 AM

The Downtown did not exist in 1996. Epic Fail!!!!! But new V.O.D. is an EPIC WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hardware 6/26/2012 6:40:51 AM

Dude on the left farted and is waiting for someone to notice.

anonymous 6/26/2012 12:33:42 PM

New the song is f*ckin great. I've been a longtime vod fan. im from north Babylon ny. First time i saw you guys was at the Huntington roxy in 1996 before it closed down. I was in sixth grade at the time. My older brother got me in. I'll never forget it. Korn played that night as well. Your first album wasn't even out yet. Glad to hear the new direction the band is taking. You guys influenced me as a musician. Keep tearin it up. lookin forward to the new record.

anonymous 6/26/2012 2:04:09 PM

So great to hear new VOD again. The production is lacking but the song is all good. If the album's along the lines of this and the other song they released a year ago I'll be a very happy man.

anonymous 6/26/2012 2:38:33 PM

not a real revolution -

anonymous 6/26/2012 9:28:22 PM

They went with what felt right and you can't fault them for that. Personally I think less is more when it comes to production. I loved what D. Sardy did on the Imprint record. Tim's vocals reminded me of Tomas Lindberg from At The Gates and it was extremely dark. Still that was then and this is now. I'll have to pick it up. I hope they get Devin Townsend to produce the next one.

anonymous 6/27/2012 6:40:10 AM

tough

anonymous 6/27/2012 8:09:03 AM

Anyone that thinks Bloodsimple is better than VOD needs their head checked. That shit is whack.

anonymous 6/27/2012 8:23:42 AM

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck ya!

anonymous 6/27/2012 8:26:37 AM

whoever said staind pod korn etc has new competition, well now yur mom has new competition from u for suckin yur dads dck! vod !

anonymous 6/27/2012 10:00:38 AM

will buy, f*ck the haters

anonymous 6/27/2012 11:09:50 AM

f*ck Yea!!

anonymous 6/27/2012 8:56:27 PM

huge VOD fan, from back in the 90s. Honestly I expected more speed and emotion. As people have stated the mix is no good. The snares don't pop and the guitars and too soft, but it's a little early to really comment on the mix. I've been waiting for new VOD for a long time. You guys wanna know what to do? For the Bleeders, Imprint, and the S/T were perfections. Do that. Your hardcore years were your best.

anonymous 6/29/2012 3:09:47 PM

Perfect. VOD Style unforgotten, uncut, and unbroken after all these years! Respect! Do your german fans a favor and come to visit us :D

anonymous 7/4/2012 11:16:40 AM

I first saw VOD on tour with Downset and Earth Crisis in Norfolk, VA in the mid-90s. Been a loyal supporter ever since. I've never seen a more energetic crowd than that night when VOD (in their prime) opened with Element. I wrote about the energy and intensity of VOD in my zine "X's and OM's" (a DIY straightedge/Hare Krishna hardcore zine).

anonymous 7/4/2012 11:17:32 AM

I joined the VOD street team in 1996 and posted all over their (geocities?) website and promoted them out of a love for their music and live show. I used to promote shows in Philly and NJ and would work with VOD. When I started my own record label and was working on the Cro-Mags tribute, I got Bloodsimple to commit to doing a song for it.

anonymous 7/4/2012 11:29:34 AM

. I've loved everything these guys have done, from VOD to BS and back to VOD, to include FBTD. Love this new song, too. No matter what VOD does, people always want to criticize. When they did S/T, people complained that it wasn't Still. When Imprint came out, it wasn't S/T. On and on. FBTD gained them a lot of new fans, but lost most of their old supporters (other than myself!).

anonymous 7/4/2012 11:30:36 AM

Now people are complaining about the new direction. It sounds like a valid evolution of all of VOD's styles and even a little BS thrown in. I love it and can't wait for the new album! I'll be with them until the end. That's what a loyal supporter does. Tim's clean, singing vocals are amazing. I've told them that, although most would disagree, I would love to hear a straight heavy song with all clean singing, like Alice in Chains, etc.

anonymous 7/4/2012 11:37:13 AM

There is another new song that is available online, and a few videos of other new songs where the audio is good. Love everything I've heard of the new stuff so far. Once again, VOD doesn't let me down. I just wish people would remain positive and stop being so critical. They're doing what they love, and will never be able to please everyone. This is classic VOD, just like everything else they've put out.

anonymous 7/4/2012 11:39:10 AM

[THOSE ABOVE 5 POSTS ARE ALL FROM ME. SORRY FOR THE LENGTH, BUT I'M PASSIONATE ABOUT DEFENDING THIS BAND] I'll definitely see them when they tour, and I stopped going to shows years ago (I'm 37 now with a family). - Kevin (formerly of counterintelligence recordings)

anonymous 7/6/2012 9:55:26 PM

It's awesome! A little bit of everything, for everyone that ever liked any variations of sounds coming from vod. Nice work fellas! Great hardcore shit right there!! I hope there are more like this especially the ending. Chorus is great as well...Sbj

anonymous 7/9/2012 4:02:29 PM

This shit is sick as hell. If you don't like it, you were NEVER a fan. This shit solidifies VOD as one of the baddest bands ever. They came back after ten years and are still producing quality material. And as far as the recording goes it will change ten times before final pressing. It's all about the live sound anyways. So f*ck off.

anonymous 7/9/2012 5:05:15 PM

awesome...still not the demo style from early 90's

anonymous 7/10/2012 9:41:02 AM

For all those ppl that say its not classic VOD.....VOD only knows one thing! And that's straight in your face VOD

anonymous 7/16/2012 9:00:30 AM

Ok here is my thoughts. I really love old V.O.D. an this new stuff aint to bad. however at the 2:50 mark on is what V.O.D. is all about. everything up to that point aint bad. great riffs killer drums but the clean vocals just dont really do much for me on this track. I'd still rate this at a 7.5 - 8 tho id like to hear the rest of the album.

anonymous 7/16/2012 12:35:27 PM

Why are people saying its not VOD until the 2:50 mark? Sounds like VOD to me from the 0 mark. Beginning to end fraking bad ass song. Can't stop listening.

anonymous 7/23/2012 5:34:39 AM

There is something in the 2:50 mark, but the whole song sounds great! Can't wait for the whole "Corsed Reamin Cursed". Greetings from Poland!

anonymous 7/23/2012 11:34:54 PM

disappointed to say the least. I have a higher standard in mind when i think of VOD i am an old school fan and a expect more but it will be on this new album for sure they have never let me down. great band good song but i expect greatness from the best of all time and i'll settle for nothing less.

anonymous 7/26/2012 1:17:29 PM

It's been too long you awesome bastards, I've waited forever for you to get back together. Favorite band!

anonymous 7/29/2012 1:28:20 AM

The sound is timeless, its like hearing the voice of a friend you haven't seen in years and picking up as if you hadn't missed a beat.

anonymous 7/31/2012 6:25:51 AM

I had almost given up on metal and hardcore. Thank you.

anonymous 8/9/2012 6:26:45 PM

I can't wait to punch someone in the face while listening to the new album.

anonymous 8/24/2012 3:06:57 PM

Soooo good- been a fan since the beginning- still a fan!!!

anonymous 8/26/2012 11:18:15 AM

Don't really like it actually Tim's vocals don't sound as over the top and psycho as on the first 2 records. They were incredible then I got to see them live in 1995 awesome. Still all in all they never got the respect which they should have had. A very underrated band!

anonymous 8/26/2012 7:34:33 PM

salut......

anonymous 9/15/2012 8:06:26 AM

I rocked ALL the V.O.D. And destroyed many, many things as the music was playing ! These people commenting about bloodsimple must have never Listened to vod or the dumbasses think bloodsimple broke up to Form VOD!!! The self titled green album is raw f*ckin metal !!! And let's not forget about Imprint, from bliss to devastation or for the bleeders!!!! I suggest you know what the f*ck you are talking about BEFORE posting

anonymous 9/18/2012 7:42:36 AM

Have always been a HUGE VOD fan. Can't wait to get the new cd. And my last name is Loveless so that makes this song even cooler to me.

anonymous 10/12/2012 6:32:32 PM

This album is amazing. From start to finish. It's got thrashy riffs, speedy beats, the breakdowns aren't just simplistic open E chugs, groove all over the place, Tim's vocals sound as good as ever, and dare I say, better? Sure, it's a far cry from the Rhythm of the AK days, but not including For the Bleeders, I'd say The Cursed Remain Cursed is the best album VOD's put out in 16 years.
