Villains "Problem Child" song premiere

2/10/2014 11:58:04 AM

Chicago-area hardcore/down-tempo unit Villains stream their brand new single.

Oswego, IL outfit Villains have unveiled a brand new single titled "Problem Child." If you're not familiar with the band, it's a bit of a challenge to describe their sound. It's part hardcore, part metalcore, part Djent, part deathcore... you get the idea; we have no clue how to succinctly categorize their output.

But rather than attempt to describe their music, we'd prefer you listen to it. So today we're happy to premiere "Problem Child" for you below. Check it out now and be sure to purchase the song tomorrow via iTunes. And while you're at it, keep up with the band via Facebook.

Shit is so sick. Their new vocalist kills it just as hard as Ben did.

Devin writes the lyrics, he means and feels what he says. He will destroy the vocal spot.

I like it, but it is your worst work guys, you can do much much better.

Let's give the new vocalist a chance, but I miss the starter.. :/

Hope you keep badass, as you were before.

i met one of these dudes in oswego fishing in the summer.

the new vocals sucks...
anonymous   posted 2/11/2014 12:55:10 PM
This shit may be cool recorded or whatever, but I will say that this is honestly one of the worst bands live that I have ever seen. It was unreal how bad they were. So for me in order for shit to actually be good it needs to translate live and this was literally one of the worst representations of recordings ive ever heard in my life. and it wasnt just one performance ive seen them play multiple times.
anonymous   posted 2/11/2014 1:11:37 PM
Vocals are shit
Arkham256   posted 2/11/2014 1:37:31 PM
Good, but I like the old vocals better. This dude seems pretty boring so far.
anonymous   posted 2/11/2014 1:59:41 PM
I don't like the new vocals at all.... So far.
anonymous   posted 2/11/2014 2:38:12 PM
makes me sad seeing so many fellow "fans" Bitch and moan over the vocalist, I swear that's all little scene pussies talk about is the band's vocalist. This vocalist wrote ALL THE Music and half the lyrics, he's the talking in Death & Serenity! All you punks that are acting just how all the fangirls did when Mitch Lucker died, the vocalist is not the whole band you f*cking morons

Step 1. Buy guitar, amp, and whammy pedal
Step 2. Program drums, record bass and guitars (just one string, obviously)
Step 3. Record accent whammy noises and start vocals ... just scream random shit
Step 4. Hype
anonymous   posted 2/11/2014 4:19:32 PM
bruh be saying "wannabe gangsters playing one string" f*ck right cuh. nu metal or gtfo.
anonymous   posted 2/11/2014 4:27:25 PM
f*ck off back to your naperville mansions you pussies
anonymous   posted 2/11/2014 4:28:08 PM
maybe if Devin took Tyler Dennen's c-ck out of his mouth his vocals would sound better
anonymous   posted 2/11/2014 5:56:54 PM
That was more annoying than anything. I'd rather listen to King Of Clubz.
anonymous   posted 2/12/2014 6:18:21 AM
So Ppl on Lambgoat like this? Got it.
anonymous   posted 2/12/2014 1:18:17 PM
Any hate towards this band is just from butthurt dudes from our local scene lol
anonymous   posted 2/12/2014 10:30:03 PM
any hate towards this band is genuine because this shit is f*cking awful.
anonymous   posted 2/12/2014 10:51:19 PM
this band sucks beyond belief live..too sloppy, garbage tones, and the most forced stage presence i've ever seen
anonymous   posted 2/14/2014 4:43:20 PM
To all you mighty keyboard warriors with your negative and bitchy comments stop being a bunch of overgrown whinny pussies and bashing the Villains. They work hard nonstop on this music i'd like to see you do better, f*cking pansies. New vocals are tight keep on keeping on friends!
anonymous   posted 2/23/2014 8:40:57 PM
I honestly don't hear any problems with this song. Anyone who was a fan of 10 Code is still getting the same delivery with this song, and the only thing missing in the vocal department is the low growls. Not a deal breaker. Villains is tight.
anonymous   posted 9/26/2014 4:03:40 PM
f*ck all the hate, showing some love from FL, you guys are f*cking sick regardless of a new vocalist or not
