Living Sacrifice "Screwtape" song premiere
Seminal Christian metal outfit Living Sacrifice premieres a song from their new album.
As you hopefully know by now, seminal Little Rock, Arkansas metal band Living Sacrifice will release a new album in two weeks. Titled Ghost Thief, this is the band's eighth album in a 20+ year career as one of Christian metal's most influential acts.
Ghost Thief is slated for a November 12 via Solid State Records. But you don't want to wait that long before hearing another song from the album (the band unveiled "The Reaping" earlier this month), right? Good, because today we're happy to exclusively premiere the album's opening track, "Screwtape." Notably, the song features guest vocals from Demon Hunter frontman Ryan Clark.
Living Sacrifice vocalist/guitarist Bruce Fitzhugh had the following to say about the track:
"Musically, it seemed like a great way to kick off the record because it's a thrasher and sets a good tone for the record as a whole. We knew we wanted to have Ryan Clark guest on the record before we even had the song. This song made sense because I wanted to have him use his singing voice and the chorus just works for his voice. Demon Hunter has been huge supporters of Living Sacrifice over the years and I did some vocals on their record Storm The Gates Of Hell a few years back. It was a great opportunity to hang in the studio and have fun making music."
Ok, without further delay, here's the song!
If you dig what you just heard, be sure to order the album here. Additionally, you can keep up with Living Sacrifice via Facebook.

Greatness. Been listening to LS since the start. With each new album they grow as musicians taking us new places, but focused on the eternal at all times.
AWESOME!! \m/ hell yeah!! You guys continue to amaze me; thunderous & amazing, the LS we know & love. Thanks guys! To all you haters: God cares about what's in our hearts, not if I drink guiness or milk, or if I cuss. He cares about what type of character I have inside. so F*ck your hate and your small-mindedness and go listen to your emo-girl metalcore. (Notice I said F*ck your hate and small-mindedness, not you!) have a nice day! \m/ \m/

how many of these comments are just the same guy going, "OH MAN THIS IS SO GOOD YES SO STOKED" ?????
Love it! Next time you're in OKC I gotta come watch!
Comparing "Christian metal" bands to secular metal bands makes no sense. It's about the music not the beliefs. You don't like metal songs because of the lyrics. You like them because of the riffs, drums, power, speed, etc. You can't even understand most of the lyrics in metal anyway. Haters can leave.
YES I'VE BEEN WAITING TO HEAR THIS ONE!!!
