outrage over girl on stage with Five Finger Death Punch during swearing

According to Fort Myers, Florida television station WINK, there is apparently outrage stemming from a nine year-old girl's appearance on-stage with Five Finger Death Punch as they screamed lyrics featuring obscenities. Video of this calamity (the music, not the girl's exposure to swearing) can be seen below:





Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott said, "Words can't describe my disgust, and this should never, ever be allowed in a county park."

Meanwhile, Fort Myers attorney Miguel Fernandez told WINK that is was "a form of abuse."

"I feel sorry for this child. This child is helpless in that position. What does this child do? She's frozen," he said. "To hear lyrics like that, what does it promote? It promotes violence. It promotes criminal mischief. It promotes...just chaos."

The girl's name is Olivia, and her father Mark had the following to say about the incident:

"It's a bad word, yeah. It's a word. That's all it is. It's a word...Everyone cusses. They're going to hear it at school. They're going to see it on TV, movies...It's everywhere. You're not going to get rid of violence....ever. You're not going to get rid of cussing, swearing."

For the record, I agree with the father. This girl's going to survive, and she's not going to be emotionally scarred. Much ado about nothing.
