Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds stars in new comedy series - hilarity doesn't ensue

Today a video was published by Newmerica Media introducing Fameless, described as "a comedy series about two men hanging out without direction", and starring Mastodon guitar player Brent Hinds along with Max Cooper.

I don't know, maybe I'm old and grumpy, but I don't think I laughed once during this 3+ minute video (well, maybe I did chuckle during the fake diamond ring part). While I agree that Brent Hinds does appear to be an interesting fellow, I don't see this series finding much traction. But whatever, judge for yourself:

The production company claims to be seeking executive producers to complete the first series of the series.

Just because you have Final Cut and a EOS 5D Mark III doesn't mean you have to use them.

Well, its nice to know that he doesn't only write shitty music in a shitty over-hyped band.. he can also suck at shitty comedy bits. I'm glad I ran into this. It gave me another reason to dislike Mastodon. God they fcking suck.

he should stick to playing music if he wants to make people laugh at him

I didn't even almost smile at any point in this stupid bullshit. Not funny. Not clever. Not good. Go back to Mastodon and break it up, then just accept that you've gone as far as you're going to go in life and get a real job. You aren't going to become the star of a sitcom. Just stop.
