Official press release:

Canada's critically acclaimed metal/hardcore band Counterparts returns this fall with a new EP titled Private Room, which will be released on September 7th by Pure Noise Records. Today, the band has partnered with Stereogum to reveal a video for their new single "Selfishly I Sink." Fans can pre-order the record now.

"'Selfishly I Sink' is one of the few b-sides from You're Not You Anymore. Although it doesn't really have a place on the record I'm still excited that the song finally gets to see the light of day. Lyrically, it's a song about forcing yourself to find love where it doesn't exist. It's about trying to fill a void with things that are equally as empty." - Brendan Murphy
