Polar has released a video for "Deus Ex Machina" (featuring Andrew Neufeld of Comeback Kid).
Official press release:
UK based hardcore marauders Polar unleash the music video debut of their smashing single "Deus Ex Machina" featuring guest vocals from Canadian hardcore/punk group Comeback Kid's Andrew Neufeld.
Polar guitarist Fabian commented on working with Neufeld: "Comeback Kid were a huge influence on Polar when we started and a real bucket list moment for us to have him on there. We played shows together last year and kept in touch ever since. When we were in the studio we had this part that was perfect for him, we sent him the track, he was into really it and you know the rest is history. It's classic Neufeld...exactly what we were looking for and to boot he's made an appearance in the video too."
The video for "Deus Ex Machina" - which can be seen streaming below via YouTube - explains the decline in human interaction and compassion towards each other. "Modern day life is being lived through ever present technological devices and social media forums, people are forgetting what it's like to actually have real opinions, real experiences and real friends", the band adds. "Concerts are great examples of this, where people just stand and film it rather than actually enjoying and experiencing it. Technology seems to have a strangle hold on people, the title Deus Ex Machina means god in the machine, and one day it may take over... its certainly seems to be heading that way."
