Formed in late-1998, Nevada's Curl Up And Die (CUAD) began as band struggling to find a solid line-up. CUAD's first official line-up lasted until April 1999. In that time, however, CUAD recorded its first demo. After recruiting a new drummer, the band began to show some personnel stability and, therefore, embarked on a tour, playing at any venue possible. More personnel changes would ensue, but the band would finally record their first release in early-2000, "1998." Soon after, CUAD would have enough funding to record its CDEP, "The Only Good Bug Is A Dead Bug," which was picked up by Status Recordings (Countervail, National Acrobat) in early-2001. Revelation Records would eventually sign the band in 2001, where CUAD's debut full-length, "Unfortunately, We're Not Robots," would be released in May of 2002. Fans of frantic, noisy, technical metal (picture new Converge meeting old Snapcase), should check out CUAD. hide
