Based in New Jersey, Thursday began playing shows in the infamous 331 Somerset St. basement (neighbors of Deadguy?), booking their own shows to play with other bands, such as At the Drive-In and Hot Water Music. Growing popularity around the East Coast would land the band with New York's Eyeball Records in 1998. Thursday would then release its debut full-length, 'Waiting.' The band's fanbase continued to grow, and would eventually lead the band to Victory Records, where Thursday's second full-length, 'Full Collapse,' would be released in early-2001. Musically, the band combines driving hardcore and indie-rock with catchy emo melodies. Vocals will range from emotional singing to shrieking. Fans of Boy Sets Fire, and other emo/screamo bands will want to check Thursday out. The latest rumors indicate the band has signed a deal with Island Records. read less
