Post Commenthah that review was so harsh. i've never heard this band, and i don't think i want to.
this actually isnt that bad. they dont rely on breakdowns in songs to get the listeners attention. i wouldnt even call this metalcore because its more heavy metal than anything. people who like the showdown and god forbid should eat this up. should be 6/10 at the least.
It's always fun to rip an album here and there, but these guys are obviously trying hard and they have some skill and their songs start and end on point, which can't be said about a lot of the more respected bands out there. Just because I'm a die hard Testament, Slayer, Megadeth, Obituary, etc fan and have been since their heydays, doesn't mean I am obliged to hate on every band who cites them for influence. This deserved a 7/10 both for effort and execution, even if they are a new band trying
also why would someone who has a premeditated bias against "metalcore" do a review on a band such as this? i know lambgoat has a thing against metalcore now but atleast let someone who likes the genre bash the record.

How can this band hold a candle to a band like Ion Dissonance or even Goblin, who did the soundtrack for the 1978 version of Dawn of the Dead? I bet that, and I'm not 100% on this, a fat woman farting would be more entertaining. Just a guess.

agreed on the commas being a little much and improperly placed in many areas. decent content however.

the third paragraph actually says that the music is good, and his only reason for not giving them a higher score is that he doesn't like their contrived sound. yet the showdown were given a boasting score by the same reviewer.

i agree this band is similar to the showdown yet they receive 5 marks lower. there is barely anything metalcore about this record besides a few breakdowns. i wouldnt say rush out and buy this, but its more than worth a listen if you have the chance to. 6 or 7/10.
They got big just cause of a TV show. They didnt tour at all before hand, they didnt work for their status. No Respect. No Care.

personally, I hate this cd, but i knew lambgoat wouldnt give it a good review as soon as I saw the name on the homepage simply because it's "mainstream". This site is full of eliteists who claim to want "their" music back, whatever the f*ck that means. Most of the kids on this site have only listened to hardcore/metal/what the f*ck ever for like 2 years tops.

funny thing is this band was shitty brocore before that ozzfest thing..now theyre just hiding the surfers in them
A fairly decent release, perhaps a 6 out of 10. I'm into the fact that each song is less than three minutes long. When I press play, then take one of my several dumps of the day, by track 3, I'm wiping my ass, and track 4, flushing the toilet.
