Metal Blade Records signs Whitechapel

Metal Blade Records has announced the signing of Knoxville, TN death/grind metal band Whitechapel. Started in February of 2006, the band quickly gained the attention of the underground scene in the US and Europe with relentless touring and face-melting, neck-snapping tunes. Ever since their inception Whitechapel have been turning heads, whether it be by word of mouth, online, or through their devastating live show. With the line-up of the band at its strongest and best it has ever been, the release of their highly anticipated full-length album, entitled The Somatic Defilement (Candlelight USA), and their freshly inked deal with Metal Blade Records, there is nothing that can stop them now. Look for Whitechapel on tour throughout the rest of 2007 in support of their latest album. Whitechapel's Metal Blade Records debut will be out in stores and online everywhere in 2008.
