Haste dropped by Century Media

After releasing three albums with the label, Alabama's Haste have apparently been dropped by Century Media Records. The band will continue to work on new material as they search for a new label. Here's a statement from the band:
"What's up kids...well it has been made official...Haste is no longer a part of the Century Media family...we officially have no label whatsoever...it's been a long hard road but we finally made it...we have been dropped...it was an amicable parting on both halves...we haven't made Century enough of the green and they just can't justify spending more cash on a band that won't bring home the butter...(we haven't exactly been the most active band in the world in the last year or so either) We appreciate all the time and effort that everyone there has given to us...there are some really hard working and genuine people over there (which is a rarity in the music business) and overall our experience with Century has been very positive...we have made some great friends over at ol' Century and wish them the best of luck with all their future projects...so with all that said, we tip our hats, throw up the horns and say good-bye to everyone at Century Media...we'll talk to you guys and gals soon. (or when we need to order some more records)."

everyone is gonna talk shit on the label for this, but when a band isnt active and not on the road promoting thier record, then a labels only logical solution is to drop them. the only other option is to continue throwing money into a hole.

I like this band a lot but he's right, they really don't tour or anything very often, hopefully they go somewhere better for them, good band

I like Haste, they really pulled together their best effort on their last album, but they haven't done much since. I know they got rid of one singer, but I don't know which one. They aren't "amazing", but I've heard worse than them.

hahaha there is this news article about century media dropping some gays right next to the article about Century being signed to a label. hahaha that's ironic hahahahahahahaha
