Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has finally begun working on vocals for the forthcoming Tool album, their first in roughly 10 years. The following update was issued via the band's website yesterday:

"In speaking with Danny [Carey, drummer] last night, he told me that the band has temporarily moved some of their gear into a larger space (across town) where Maynard is working on vocals for some of the new Tool material. I'm sure that he has already been doing this to some extent, but now he has more room to breathe and a better vocal booth."

I would post something like I really hope this album isn't a total piece of dump shit like 10,000 days or most of Lateralwhatever, but I really don't care if its crap or not.
