Monday, January 09, 2017 11:58 AM PT

Morbid Angel has been in the studio as of late recording material for their new album. Tracking is taking place at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, FL with producer/engineer Erik Rutan at the helm. Thus far, drums have been completed by Scott Fuller of Annihilated. According to guitarist Trey Azagthoth, "we have a really cool collection of new material."

A mid-2017 release via UDR Music is expected.

^^^ Important questions. Steve Tucker or bust. David Vincent can go back to being the janitor for the CMT network studio building.

david ruined the entire Illud Divinum Insanus album. the music isn't even that bad. The production is lame and needs to be heavier/dirtier a bit, but some arrangements are cool. But the vocals are so consistently lame. It makes you want to commit suicide if you have ever heard Covenant.
