Official press release:
Finland's doom/death-lords Hooded Menace have completed work on their devastating, down-tuned masterpiece 'Effigies of Evil'! Marking their first release for Relapse Records, 'Effigies of Evil' will be unleashed upon the masses on September 25th in CD, 2xLP and digital editions including a special deluxe edition vinyl release, which comes with a limited edition 7" featuring covers by Witchfinder General and Eternal Darkness.
Combining the grooving riffs of Black Sabbath and early Cathedral with the fire of classic Autopsy and Asphyx, 'Effigies of Evil' is an instant metal classic. With this new effort, Hooded Menace transforms from cult heroes to legitimate heavy metal icons.
'Effigies of Evil' features artwork by David D'Andrea.
