Deserters announce Mediaskare release, debut song

Los Angeles, CA hardcore metal outfit Deserters have released "Optimism's Victim," the lead track off upcoming album 'The Slow Rhythms Of A Dead-Beat,' which will be released September 11, 2012 by Mediaskare Records.

'The Slow Rhythms Of A Dead-Beat' picks up where 2011's 'Fail Yourself' EP left off, introducing twelve new chapters examining the harsher side of life, intimate confessions that reveal "the punishment that dreams induce, the contemplation of suicide, the sociopath's inability to feel, the victim's left in their wake, and God's inability to be."

Deserters, who exemplify their own saying, "scream the things you could never say," chose to release opening track "Optimism's Victim" as a dedication to "people in the past who have held on when there was nothing real to hold."
