Official press release:
Boston hardcore experimentalists Zozobra are set to enter the studio next month to begin recording their highly anticipated new record. They band will head to Translator Audio in Brooklyn, NY to begin tracking with engineer Andrew Schneider (Unsane, Pelican), with a fall release date planned on Brutal Panda Records. Zozobra mastermind Caleb Scoffield (Cave In, Old Man Gloom) had this to say about the new material, their first in four years:
"This release is shaping up to be one of the more focused, cut throat group of songs to be heard from this band. Drawing heavily on a more punk and hardcore influence, the mid tempo heady riffage has been replaced with angry, driving thrash and ear splitting sonics that take far less time and effort at getting to the point."
In addition, the band is gearing up to play a one-off Boston show with the recently reunited Harkonen, The Atlas Moth, and Whores at The Middle East on Thursday, June 14th. Their set will showcase the first preview of new material.

Interesting that they're on Brutal Panda Records. Never really dug this band, but one of my favorite newer labels.
