Seventh Rule Recordings has officially announced the addition of
Wetnurse to its roster. Seventh Rule Recordings owner Scott Flaster describes Wetnurse:
"The urgency of early hardcore; the aggro, off-kilter noise of the AmRep heyday; the raw, outcast power of early death metal; the melodic transcendence of classic rock... All these influences exist within Wetnurse's music, yet theirs is something totally new and
progressive."
The band self-released an album in 2004 (you can read Lambgoat's review
here). Meanwhile, their Seventh Rule debut, titled "Invisible City," was recorded and mixed by
Martin Bisi (
Sonic Youth,
Helmet) at Brooklyn's
B.C. Studios and mastered by
Alan Douches (
Mastodon). The effort will be available this fall. In the interim, you can listen to a song from the new album
here.
