R.A. (Rude Awakening) "Black Widow" song premiere

Massachusetts hardcore band R.A. debuts a track from their full-length debut.

Merrimack, Massachusetts band R.A. (aka Rude Awakening) will release their first proper full-length this summer. Formed in 2011, the "straightforward, no-frills hardcore" outfit attracted the attention of Bridge Nine Records following the release of an EP and split 12" with Death Threat. The new album, titled Collateral Damage, was recorded by veteran engineer Dean Baltulonis (Madball, Give Up The Ghost) and is scheduled to hit streets on July 1st via Bridge Nine.

The end of that song is f*cking insane

Why would you abbreviate something and then write it out in parenthesis explaining the abbreviation? Doesn't that defeat the whole point of abbreviating something in the first place? R.A. (Rude Awakening)

Because a Thin Lizzy cover band sued them for using the same name as them..
