read moreEstablished in a Dayton, Ohio basement in 1997, Twelve Tribes would issue a self-titled demo early in its career to mostly local kids in the scene. The demo provided an opportunity for the band to do some touring, followed by its second demo, 'Two Cleft Tongues.' Twelve Tribes promptly gained momentum and caught the ears of many, thanks to the aforementioned releases and a tour with Florida's Poison the Well. The band's growing popularity would lead to its union with Florida's Eulogy Recordings. Since then, Twelve Tribes has toured several times, while releasing its full-length 'As Feathers to Flowers and Petals to Wing's' (1999), as well as a maxi-CD entitled 'Instruments.' With a sound comparable at times to Drowningman, Twelve Tribes plays melodic metal hardcore, displaying its ability to combine breakdowns, math-metal, melody, and varying vocals from screaming to spoken word.
