The band's follow-up full-length, and breakthrough release, "Vulgar Display of Power," continued to display Pantera's maturing sound, and added to the unit's mainstream appeal, something not easily achieved by most metal bands. Pantera's third full-length, "Far Beyond Driven," would be released in 1994, and debut near the top of the Billboard Charts, a significant indicator of metal's growing popularity at the time. The year 1996 would mark the band's fourth album, "The Great Southern Trendkill," followed by its 1997 live album, "Official Live: 101 Proof," which highlighted numerous fan-favorite tunes, as well as two new songs. "Reinventing the Steel," Pantera's latest, long-awaited full-length, would be released in early-2000. With countless tours by the band, live videos/DVDs, and participation in numerous festivals, Pantera is truly one of the biggest names in modern metal.
