With its roots tracing back to one-half of Luleâ, Sweden's Superdong, Breach formed in 1993 and began developing its brand of raw, aggressive hardcore/metal hybrid sound. Following several appearances on compilation records, Breach would release its debut CDEP, "Outlines," for Burning Heart Records (Refused, The International Noise Conspiracy). In August 1995, the band would release its first full-length, "Friction," also for Burning Heart. The CD-single, "Old Songs vs. New Beats" (1996, Burning Heart), would mark the beginning of Breach's musical evolution, as its sound began to draw parallels to bands such as Neurosis and Unsane. Following the CDS, The unit would publish its second full-length, "It's Me God," for Burning Heart in 1997, which continued to display Breach's musical transition. A third LP, "Venom" (Burning Heart), would make its way to the public in 1999. The band has also appeared on a split CD with Aggression for Goodlife Recordings (Dead Blue Sky, Course of Action). Its latest effort, "Godbox," is a five-song CDEP of rehearsal recordings for Chrome Saint Magnus (Mörser, Systral). Breach is also expected to release a new album, entitled "Kollapse," in the near term. Fans of Neurosis, Knut, and Cult of Luna should find Breach to their liking. hide
