I really enjoyed versions, in fact i'm a big fan of all their material from YCBY. You come before you is the peak of their musical creativity. Versions is much better after multiple listens but isn't memorable enough. A throw away album after a few months. Only album I listen to on a regular basis is YCBY. Such an under rated album YCBY is.

That's pathetic cunt. Go fuck yourself. Poison the well is incredible. No one can ever match there style, the way they make music. People FEED off there music, you need to sit your ass down and listen closely mother fucker. Who ever wrote this review can get there dick cut off and thrown into traffic on a busy freeway.

wow that is one obviously one side of the fence opinion.. poison the well started back in what 97?.. and never really followed any trends just set the bar for music of its own nature many years in advance.. they also put out several records over many years never rushing to the next just to make a buck.. ..

sorry i USE to like ptw, from day 1 not to mention. Ycby was a little iffy but I appreciated it for the most part. Things got weird, a bit awkward and went down hill fast after that album. With that said as harsh as this review was, I have to agree with it. Any person that is still a fan might bash my opinion but before you freak out remember...its an opinion.

You know, I didn't really care for Versions too much when it came out. But I just read this review (Poison the Well's Facebook page posted it) and thought to myself, "What? Poison the Well sounds NOTHING like Converge in ANY sense." But then, I listened to Last Light and Letter Thing back to back. WOW. They're almost the same fucking song. That's just sad, and angers me.

So what they've had 20 something band members...obviously passionate about making music and progressing in the name of PTW. Fuck your biased opinion and the horse you rode in on.

I have no problems with not liking the album or PTW in general, but this critic is just wrong. Saying the lyrics are bad just implies you dont understand them. You portrait your very subjectiv opinion instead of a real critique but you acted like you have. Maybe that's the reason i've never heard of this site.

Album is not half as bad as all these lambgoat faggots say it is. Actually really effective and refreshing.

With Versions, Poison The Well borrows most of their tricks from some of the most innovative acts of the last ten years and rolls them into one big, poorly-arranged mess of impersonal style and shitty lyrics. < HAHAHAHA best line from a review ever

My God, this guy here's some drum rolls and some shouting and can only compare it to Last Light. That's the such an awful stereotype and shows how little you can distinguish in huge stylistic differences. The guitars on Letter Thing are way more progressive and technical than in Last Light. They maybe similar, but in no way can you say that it's a blatant rip off. I mean the drums rolls are played way more on the upbeat in Letter Thing, giving it a completely different feel. Go review some

I really liked Versions. It was a big change from You Come Before You (which is still my favorite) but Versions really changed it up to an extent. I feel as if the band is happy with the fruits of their labor that it's all that matters.
